Depression Therapy for Women in California
Some days, getting through the basics can take more energy than anyone realizes. You might feel sad, numb, disconnected, or unable to enjoy things you used to look forward to. You may still be working and caring for others while feeling increasingly far away from yourself.
I’m Eunice Lim, LMFT, ATR. I offer online therapy for women in California who are navigating depression and want space to understand what they’re experiencing.

When life feels heavy or distant
Depression can affect your energy, motivation, relationships, and sense of possibility. It may come with withdrawing from people, difficulty concentrating, changes in sleep, or harsh thoughts about yourself. You don’t have to know exactly how to describe it before reaching out.
We begin by understanding how you’ve been feeling, how daily life is affected, and what support you need. Depression can have several contributing factors. We can consider your relationships, circumstances, health, and history without assuming one explanation fits everything.
How I help with depression
Our work can include making room for painful feelings, noticing patterns of withdrawal or self-criticism, and finding manageable ways to reconnect with what matters to you. We’ll choose goals that respect your current energy and capacity.
Art therapy can offer a starting point when words feel difficult or you aren’t sure what you feel. You might use a few colors to describe the day, make simple marks, or create an image of what feels absent. There is no expectation to make something beautiful or turn a painful feeling into a positive one. Your experience guides the conversation.
IFS-informed parts work can help us explore inner conflict, such as a part that wants to withdraw and another that criticizes you for needing rest. Body awareness and grounding can help us notice shifts in tension, energy, or connection during a session. We use these approaches when they fit your needs, with room for conversation throughout.
Finding a pace that is workable
A meaningful step might be contacting someone you trust, making room for a basic need, returning to a small activity, or noticing a moment of interest. We can explore what gets in the way and adjust expectations when a step feels too large. Therapy goals are something we build together.
When your needs would be better supported by additional care, we can discuss options such as a medical evaluation or collaboration with another provider.
What to expect from online therapy
I work with women throughout California through online sessions. You don’t need art experience or special materials. Creative invitations are optional, and Christian faith integration is available only at your request.
